In its 16th year of operation, Winefest is Calgary’s most established wine event. It features an Industry Tasting on Thursday afternoon, and public tasting Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening from 7 – 10 PM. The Industry afternoon at Winefest attracts wine retailers and restaurateurs from across Western Canada, giving exhibitors a chance to reach hundreds of industry partners.

Winefest only features wine, so there is no competition from beer, spirits or other beverages. Winefest attendees are avid wine drinkers who are excited to try new vintages and discover new wines.

Winefest is now proudly run by Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival. Improvements to Winefest 2008 include:

• A new, contemporary venue
• A new image and website
• Space for an extra 1000 consumers throughout the weekend
• A Riedel wine tasting glass with each ticket
• Strict enforcement of the 1 oz maximum sample rule
